iNube, a software solution provider catering to the insurance domain is using the Windows Azure platform to provide Enrollment Reconciliation and Claims Management services on the Cloud for Rashtriya Swasthya Bima Yojana (RSBY), one of the largest public welfare projects in India that offers a health insurance cover program for underprivileged families.
RSBY has been launched by Ministry of Labor and Employment, Government of India to provide health insurance coverage. The objective of RSBY is to provide protection to BPL households from financial liabilities arising out of health shocks that involve hospitalization. Beneficiaries under RSBY are entitled to hospitalization coverage up to Rs. 30,000 for most of the diseases that require hospitalization. Beneficiaries need to pay only Rs. 30 as registration fee while Central and State Government pays the premium to the insurer selected by the State Government.
EnroLive is a software system designed to plug-in the loopholes in the RSBY Enrollment process and also provide for aggregation and consolidation of enrollment data on a daily basis. Claims RSBY is the product to manage claims for the Government run RSBY Scheme. Both products are powered by Microsoft’s Windows Azure platform and are offered on Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model to Insurance Companies and Third Party Administrators (TPAs).
