Tavant Technologies expands Bangalore facility, plans hiring

Tavant Technologies, a specialized IT solutions and services provider has added 150 plus seats at its Bangalore  facility, which spread across three buildings. Besides, company will also add over 100 seats at its Noida facility in a month’s time.

With the facility expansion plans under way, the Bangalore based company will recruit staff in coming months. Overall, company has strength of over 1000 people, where Bangalore facility houses 750 plus staff, the Noida facility has some 100 plus and over 120 are based offshore working on clients projects.

According to Krishnan PP, Chief Delivery Officer, Tavant Technologies, last year had a record number of customers and are expanding workforce in India and the U.S this year.

“We have 40 odd clients globally working on multiple projects developing software and maintenance as per client’s business requirements. Majority of clients based in the U.S and Europe that are operate  primarily in key verticals namely capital markets, consumer landings, manufacturing, media and entertainment, gaming and retail,” said Krishnan.

Though large portion of business comes from outside India, Krishnan informed that during last 3-4 years there’s growth happening here and company is focusing on the Indian market. “Tavant Technologies had started operating in India as a partner but now we independently working on client projects and providing support to them.”

“Our key strengthen is software development and we also developed our own IP based software product Warranty Management, which businesses can integrate with ERP solution to manage warranty for customers. The Warranty Management solution is offered in two ways as hosted and managed services to clients based on different pay based models,” explained Krishnan.

Started in 2000, Tavant Technologies’ first customer was Ingersoll-Rand and in past 14 years, it has  gained key accounts including DFC Global Corporation, New York Times, Washington Post, EA Sports, Zynga, and others.

DFC Global Corporation is among the top three clients of Tavant Technologies and around 90 people work offshore to develop and support DFC’s point of sales (PoS) software system across 1600 retail stores in the U.S, U.K, and other European countries. Beside, it provide key support to DFC’s online and offline business with business intelligence (BI) and data mining capabilities.             

In terms of overall business, Krishnan stated manufacturing and media contributes around 20-30%, capital markets and consumer landing has share of 20-25% and rest comes from retail and e-business.

In 2013, Tavant’s business grew by 26-27 % and company’s overall revenue is in the range of $40-70 million, concluded Krishnan.
