The content of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s special radio address ‘Mann ki Baat’ with US President Barack Obama will soon be available in an e-book format.
After Modi made such a suggestion, senior Information and Broadcasting officials said that they would work on bringing
out an e-book.
“An e-book as desired by the Prime Minister will soon be brought out,” I&B Secretary Bimal Julka told PTI, adding modalities would be discussed at the earliest.
The All India Radio (AIR) records and broadcasts the Prime Minister’s radio address while also sharing the feed with Doordarshan along with private radio and TV channels.
In the ‘Mann ki Baat’ episode, Modi shared his e-book idea with the listeners.
“There should be an e-book made of the talk between Barack and me. I hope the organisers of Mann Ki Baat will release this e-book,” Modi said.
He also suggested that all the listeners of the programme should also participate in the creation of the e-book.
“And to you all, who have listened to Mann Ki Baat, I also say, do participate in this. And the best hundred thoughts that emerge out of this, will also be added to this e-book,” Modi said.
He asked listeners to write back on Twitter, Facebook, or online with the hashtag #YesWeCan and also suggested some
topics – eliminate poverty, quality healthcare to all, youth empowered with education, jobs for all, end to terrorism and
global peace and progress.
“I want you to send your thoughts, experiences and feelings after listening to Mann Ki Baat. From them, we will select the best hundred, and we will add them to the book containing the talk that Barack and I have had,” Modi said.
