Digital Disruption & Remote Working in the Post Covid World | 28th October 2020

Covid-19 is ushering in the new normal where in-person and face-to-face interactions are being minimised. We will see an explosion of a broad spectrum of digital channels and platforms, which will also lead to the mass adoption of remote working and work from anywhere as a commonly accepted corporate practice.

Here is a take on the macro aspects of putting together a four-point Remote Working Strategy for enterprises:

  • Scale: Any remote access solution that was designed pre-Covid, will have to be re-engineered like a platform, to take into consideration the multi-fold increase in scale and user traffic.
  • Security: It is critically important to build an integrated security architecture which provides authentication to both remote workers and the devices they use and also monitors and protects them.
  • Experience: How remote workers communicate and collaborate with each other is the most important aspect of any successful remote working strategy and solution.
  • Culture: None of the above are possible if organisations don’t embrace this as a cultural change.
