Accelya, a leading provider of financial and business intelligence solutions to the airline and travel industry today said that it is now able to accelerate transaction throughput for its airline customers, by up to 2.5x and can process more than 100 million transactions per year, quickly and reliably. The company has also been able to increase airline competitiveness by managing peak loads up to 200% above daily average.
The company has adopted Oracle Exadata Database Machine for its comprehensive financial accounting software for airlines travel, which has helped them improve transaction processing throughput, enabling them to provide accurate and detailed revenue reports to airlines on a daily basis, to meet the requirements imposed by their compliance and finance departments.

However, this number could go as high as 200% above daily average during peak loads and often resulted in backlogs that took days, or even weeks to catch up. Airlines operate in a very challenging environment, with weak profits in difficult times. With Accelya’s solution based on Oracle Exadata the airlines are now in position to process their daily volumes in a window of 10 -12 hours enabling them to produce revenue reports on a daily basis, compared to weekly basis in the past.
Additionally, Accelya managed to minimise airline processing errors in revenue reports and recorded 99% accuracy in revenue forecast by seamlessly integrating the airlines’ enterprise resource planning systems with Oracle Exadata.
The company engaged Mumbai-based Softcell Technologies, a gold level member of Oracle PartnerNetwork (OPN), to assist with its Oracle Exadata implementation. Softcell’s experts, together with Oracle Exadata, ensured all components worked together without facing any performance bottlenecks or single points of failure that could affect the complete system.
