BigRock, the Indian domain registrar and web hosting company today announced the addition of SiteLock website scanning solution to its product portfolio for small businesses. SiteLock is a cloud-based security tool that offers anti-malware capabilities and also serves as an intrusion prevention tool for bot attacks and hacking attempts.
SiteLock enables comprehensive website scanning as well as removal of malicious code, along with application scanning, network scanning and Website Application Firewall (WAF) blocking harmful requests, while enhancing the performance and reputation of the website. As a cloud based solution, SiteLock can automatically conduct in-depth scans of website files by using FTP protocols and doesn’t require installation. Additionally, customers will also have the option to choose and display a SiteLock secure badge on their website thus enhancing trust of end consumers who visit their portal.

Data from CERT-In (Indian Computer Emergency Response Team) suggests that Indian websites are increasingly becoming victims of cyber-attacks with more than 308,371 websites hacked between 2011 and June 2013. A recent report commissioned by the New Delhi High Court suggests that cybercrimes cost India $4 billion in 2013.
