Dell India launches Cluster Activation Program in partnership with AMI

Dell India has launched Cluster Activation Program in partnership with AMI to upkeep its long term focus on serving the growth markets of India. The cluster activation programme will be held in Bangalore, New Delhi and Chennai with respective industrial associations.

Through the cluster activation programme Dell is offering a platform to explore the future management of clusters through mutual co-operation, educate these businesses on how technology can be used to increase their growth path and streamline certain aspects to increase efficiency.

India has a large number of industrial clusters, particularly in the tier II and tier III cities contributing almost 2/3rd of the manufactured exports and 40% of the country’s industrial output.

Industrial clusters are increasingly recognized as an effective means of industrial development and act as catalyst for the economic growth of regions by fostering entrepreneurship, innovation, generating employment and enabling favorable investment opportunities. Dell believes that there is significant headroom for growth in these clusters and sees it as a critical part of its go- to-market strategy.

P. Krishnakumar, Executive Director & General Manager, Consumer & SB, Dell India said “We are very excited about our partnership with AMI Partners as it has helped us to understand the prominent SB clusters present across geographies at great length. The events will help us to showcase our solutions which are specially designed for small businesses to offer power, scalability and affordability in order to increase their overall productivity”.

Looking forward to the first SME gathering in Bangalore, Latha Girish, President, Peenya Industry Association (PIA) said, “Small Businesses form a very strong foundation of the economy of our country and we are committed to helping the SMEs connected with PIA grow in every manner. This association with Dell gives us an opportunity to increase exposure to the latest technology solutions for SMEs which will aid in their development. We look forward to a mutually fruitful association with Dell.”

The company is committed to the PC business and believes that its association with partners like AMI will continue to explore industry cluster development as a potential tool in bringing in inclusive growth.
