DMTF, an organization that brings IT industry together to collaborate on the development, validation and promotion of infrastructure management standards, has announced a partnership with China Cloud Computing Promotion and Policy Forum (3CPP).
DMTF and 3CPP plan to work together to promote the adoption of appropriate existing standards and support recognized bodies developing new standards relevant to cloud computing.
As cloud computing continues to gain international traction standards remain a critical component in achieving interoperable cloud management. DMTF and 3CPP will focus on standards developed by DMTF, including the Cloud Infrastructure Management Interface (CIMI) and the Cloud Auditing Data Federation (CADF) standards. This partnership will help ensure alignment within the cloud computing industry.
“DMTF is excited to be partnering with 3CPP to drive adoption of interoperable cloud management standards in China,” said Jeff Hilland, President, DMTF. “3CPP is highly-respected in China for the work they are doing and we look forward to working with them to ensure that DMTF’s cloud standards continue to have a big impact in this region.”
“The DMTF and 3CPP share several common concerns within the cloud computing industry. The importance of cooperation between our two organizations will be instrumental in promoting the adoption of cloud-based standards in China,” said He Baohong, Chief Secretary, 3CPP. “3CPP is looking forward to collaborating with the DMTF and aligning our efforts in the cloud industry.”
