India International Friendship Society (IIFS), New Delhi, has conferred Dr. Rajeev Papneja with the globally reputed “Bharat Gaurav Puraskar” for 2015.
Dr. Papneja who is one of the youngest candidates to have received this award, hails from Devlali Camp, small town in Nashik district. In a very short span, he has completed a remarkable journey from a small town to New York, The Financial Capital of the world where he served for more than a decade in Fortune 100 organizations as a technology leader and is now back to his home town in pursuit of making the future generation ready with our own culture.
With more than 20 years of extensive technology experience at National & International level, Dr. Rajeev serves as the COO & Exec Vice President at “ESDS Software Solutions Pvt. Ltd” and also as the COO of bodHost (USA), a fast growing web hosting company that is a subsidiary of ESDS.
He also serves as an active member in the “Board of Technical Advisors” to IBM Software Defined environments and has recently reviewed a book on Microsoft Azure cloud.
Former Governor of Assam & Tamil Nadu, Dr. Bhishma Narain Singh, presented him with the utmost prestigious award at a glittering function held at India International Center, Janpath, New Delhi on April 15, 2015 in the presence of Hon’ble Mr. O P Verma, who has served as the Governor of Punjab & Haryana and Chief Justice of the Kerala High Court.
The distinguished recipients of this award in the past include Mother Teresa, former Vice-President of India B.D. Jetty, General G.V. Krishna Rao, General Prema Kariappa, Air Chief Marshal N.S. Suri, former Director of CBI Joginder Singh, film actor the late Dev Anand, actor-turned-politicians Rajesh Khanna and the late Sunil Dutt.
The society has a program of coordinating India’s and N.R.I.’s efforts in creating joint ventures. For this purpose it has an advisory committee in which some talented and highly respected Indian experts in diverse fields, such as Economists, journalists, Socialists, Industrialists, Scholars, Engineering Experts, Member of Parliament and some retired Generals are involved.
