EBS (E-Billing Solutions), an Indian online payment provider, has announced that it has become the first Channel Partner in India for PayPal. Over 5,000 EBS online merchants can add PayPal as a payment option to their EBS Merchant Account and sell to PayPal’s 113 million active accounts in 190 markets across the globe.
Small Indian exporters can go global and accept overseas online payments from day one as compared to the 30-day period offered by other online payment systems and up to the 90-day period as per traditional export models. EBS has enabled a single sign-on for their merchants to access their EBS and PayPal accounts. PayPal’s Express Checkout integrates transparently with EBS giving online merchants a one-stop-shop payment solution to accept online and mobile payments in up to 25 currencies.
R Prabhuram, Executive Director, EBS India, said, “We are excited to partner with PayPal as our merchants can now benefit from selling to global customers from day one with a simple one time sign-in.”
“India is a prominent market for us and we are delighted to partner EBS to help Indian exporters sell to our global customers in 190 markets across the globe. By integrating PayPal as their payment provider, online merchants globally have on average experienced an 18% boost in sales and 23% higher customer conversion rate than credit cards. Working closely with EBS, we want to help thousands of Indian merchants go global and experience similar growth rates,” said Mayur Patel, India Country Manager, PayPal Southeast Asia & India.
