The service is available in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Pune.
The Government has launched a initiative called ‘Sahaj’ to enable customers to register for new LPG connections online, as well as make on line payments for the same through the portal mylpg.in.
The service is as of now available in Delhi, Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Bhopal, Bhubaneshwar, Chandigarh, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Patna and Pune. It will be launched pan-India within the next few days.
“The vision of Digital India is to transform the country into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy and ensure that government services are available to citizens electronically. I compliment the PSU OMCs for aligning their business processes with the Digital India Vision.” said Dharmendra Pradhan, Minister of state for Petroleum and Natural Gas.
The minister told that that the initiatives taken by Petroleum Ministry in the last seven months have enhanced coverage of LPG and extended better services to customers. As per the PIB release, 25 lakh Indians have given up their LPG subsidy, and 22 lakh new lpg connections have been issued for bpl household in the current year Jan to July 2015.
