Mumbai-based High-Bar Technology has designed an e-portal- Sustainable Workflow Platform (SWP) – for the functioning of the Board wherein all permission and approvals would be given online
Goa State Pollution Control Board (GSPCB) has become the first government department in the state to go ‘paperless’ with the introduction of e-office services from this week, a senior official said.
Mumbai-based High-Bar Technology has designed an e-portal- Sustainable Workflow Platform (SWP) – for the functioning of the Board wherein all permission and approvals would be given online, Board Chairman, Jose Manuel Noronha said.
State Environment Minister Rajendra Arlekar launched the service at the Board’s office in Panaji. Noronha said that with the new system in place, files will not remain with the Board for more than 48 hours, giving a swift clearance to them. Noronha said that the e-office service was introduced to do away with paper-based systems.
“The Board had come out with a report to strengthen IT service two years ago, following which the initiative was taken,” he said. This will bring in complete transparency in the functioning of the department, he added.
