A dedicated website for aspirants seeking recruitment in border guarding force ITBP was launched by the government.
The website is the first-ever initiative by any paramilitary force in the country to help young men and women gain entry in central forces working under the command of the Union Home Ministry.
The 70,000 personnel strong Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) force is tasked to secure the 3,488-km long Sino-Indian frontier apart from rendering various duties in the internal security and anti-Naxal operations domain of the country.

“Online applications for various posts can also be submitted through this portal in an easy manner. The attempt has been to keep the website user-friendly,” ITBP spokesperson Vivek Pandey said.
A senior official said recruitments done by the UPSC and postings done through deputation or direct appointment by the Ministry of Home Affairs will continue to be conducted by the respective agencies.
The website has been launched at a time when the mountain force has received government sanction to raise at least ten new battalions (about 10,000 personnel) for border guarding and other duties.
The website, hosted by the National Informatics Centre, will act as a solution provider to all the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) about getting a job in the force, raised in 1962 in the aftermath of the Chinese aggression.
