Taking a leap further to last year launch of online bill payments on Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) website, on Thursday, Jharkhand chief minister Raghubar Das launched the mobile app for payment of electricity utility bills.
JBVNL officials say, mobile app powered with comprehensive multi-mode payment platform promise to deliver payments option anywhere, anytime on any device with secure transactions and extended customer services for all payment queries.
“Last year, JBVNL introduced online bill payments on their website. By launching a mobile application that accepts payments, this is a step forward that brings convenience in the palms of consumers,” Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das said.
The payment process is powered by a solution from TechProcess Payment Services, a Mumbai based electronic payments platform.

“With the launch our new mobile app, we are providing citizen centric m-governance services and bringing ease to our customers by assisting to avoid queues for utility payments,’’ Rahul Kumar Purwar, managing director, JBVNL said in a statement.
