Emerson Network Power , a business of Emerson, has announced the appointment of Sunil Khanna as President and MD for India. Khanna will be responsible for directing and leading the organization to drive growth and profitability in line with Emerson’s strategic direction and business ethics. He is also tasked with the responsibility of organizational development and talent management in order to sustain long term growth and enhance the company’s competitive edge in the market place.
He will be based in the company’s India headquarters in Mumbai and will report to Stephen Liang, President of Emerson Network Power Asia Pacific.

He is a strong advocate for the customer and will help us further improve our response to the needs of our customers in India. He has been an integral part of Emerson’s success in India for the past nine years now. With over 30 years of experience in the Industrial and IT sectors, we are expecting him to be a strong leader for continued growth and investment in India.”
Khanna moves to Emerson Network Power after an assignment as the Vice President, Strategic Relations of Emerson (corporate) in India that he undertook in 2011. He had joined Emerson Process Management in 2004 as Senior Vice President, Sales & Operations in India and was elevated to Managing Director of the company in 2006. Prior to joining Emerson, Sunil held various leadership positions at ABB India including VP of Automation Technology, and Divisional Manager – South East Asia. He also has international work experience including postings in Singapore, Indonesia, UK and USA.
Khanna is an M.Tech. in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kanpur and holds a B.Tech degree in Electronics Engineering from IIT (BHU). He is also a graduate of the Emerson Leadership Program.
