Snapdeal-owned FreeCharge is now accepted at 1, 00,000 merchants in India and further aims to reach five million merchants in next 18 months. Recently, a Nielson study revealed that Freecharge wallet is the fastest growing wallet in the country with a reach of 30%. With a 99% success rate.
The Bangalore based digital payments platform company has achieved this milestone of more than 100000 merchants within 8 months of its launch. With its less-than-10 seconds payment completion promise, Freecharge has rapidly gained acceptance as a trusted and easy-to-use replacement for cash among merchants and consumers.

Freecharge expanded its reach by partnering with payment aggregators like ePaisa, CCAvenue, Ezetap and Pine Labs to facilitate payments through Freecharge wallet at various PoS terminals and online payment gateways. The company has also forged partnerships with India’s leading brands like Shoppers Stop, McDonalds, Café Coffee Day, Cleartrip, RedBus, OYO to name a few. Freecharge’s innovations like the On-the-go-Pin and Chat-n-Pay service has also fueled rapid adoption of wallet.
