The Gores Group, a global investment firm based in Los Angeles has announced that, through an affiliate, it has acquired Astadia, Inc, a pure-play Cloud computing consulting and systems integrator. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
Astadia, a salesforce.com Platinum Partner will be merged with Idea, a portfolio company of The Gores Group, that provides integration solutions and services. The Gores Group will be the controlling shareholder of the combined company.

The new entity will provide customers with the optimal expertise and scale required to address the most diverse, complex enterprise IT environments,” said Victor C Otley, Managing Director, The Gores Group. “The new entity will have one of the largest global footprints within the salesforce.com and Cloud ecosystem with the ability to deliver business solutions for the Hybrid Enterprise.”

Astadia is a salesforce.com Platinum Partner that has been delivering Cloud-based business solutions for over a decade. It has a Global Delivery Centre in Gurgaon. The company’s service portfolio includes strategy, implementation and integration, along with training and support, using Cloud, mobile and social platforms. It has also developed strong practices in the social enterprise, marketing automation, data integration and the subscription economy, leveraging platforms such as Radian6, Eloqua, Informatica and Zuora.
