Hitachi Solutions India-a subsidiary of Hitachi Solutions America, has acquired Ignify, a firm specialised in Microsoft Dynamics industry solutions, for an undisclosed sum.
Hitachi Solutions India-a subsidiary of Hitachi Solutions America, has acquired Ignify, a firm specialised in Microsoft Dynamics industry solutions, for an undisclosed sum.
The acquisition is aimed at enhancing Hitachi Solutions global delivery capabilities with the addition of more than 450 workforce from Ignify, globally. Ignify in India has centres in Bengaluru and Pune with around 300 people working out of the country. Ignify has offices in the US, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Japan.
In addition, Hitachi Solutions will gain a portfolio of proven IP and industry solutions, particularly in the retail sector, to enable delivery of global turnkey industry solutions. Hitachi Solutions is a leading provider of global industry solutions based on the Microsoft cloud.
Addressing news persons here to announce the acquisition, Mike Gillis, president & global COO, Hitachi Solutions America said: “As our two companies combine strength and best practices, we will have the right combination of scalability and expertise to optimise our delivery capabilities.”
According to him, Asia Pacific is a key geography to Hitachi Solutions and the acquisition is another important milestone in the company’s investment in the region. With the acquisition, Hitachi Solutions will be looking at garnering a revenue of $ 600 million over a period of 3 to 4 years. Globally, Hitachi Solutions has a revenue to around $ 200 million.

Founded in 1999, by Sandeep Wallia and Pankaj Kumar, Ignify is a global solutions provider specialising in Microsoft Dynamics for retail point of sale solutions.
The company’s flagship product Ignify eCommerce is an end-to-end business to business and business to consumer eCommerce platform that provides full merchandising, inventory and marketing capabilities.
