India is a key market in Onix’s global expansion

Onix, a leading global data, cloud, and AI solutions provider, is charting a course for transformative growth. Onix is not just expanding its geographical footprint but also its technological prowess. Says Niraj Kumar, CTO of Onix, “We have a strong presence in India, with offices in Pune and Hyderabad, and globally, we are present in Canada, the UK, and Singapore. To serve our customers around the world better, we recently opened new offices in Bengaluru, India, and San Francisco, USA.”

At the core of Onix’s strategy is its commitment to AI and cloud technology. “We are excited about what we’re doing at Onix with AI. We have 15 proprietary innovations in data, AI, and cloud transformation alongside over 24 industry-specific solutions,” Kumar explains. The recent acquisition of Datametica, a Google Cloud Partner known for its data modernization capabilities, has further bolstered Onix’s offerings. “Together, we now offer end-to-end solutions ranging from data migration, modernization, analytics to AI implementation, cloud cost management, and synthetic data required for training AI algorithms,” he states.

India has not only been a launchpad but a significant growth driver for Onix. “India has been a key market in Onix’s global expansion, especially following our acquisition of Datametica,” Kumar notes. The new innovation center in Bengaluru, combined with existing hubs in Pune and Hyderabad, has enhanced Onix’s capacity to deliver cutting-edge solutions. “We have made significant progress with AI implementations, data migrations, and cloud optimization projects for clients across industries,” he adds, highlighting the success of their products like Kingfisher and Phoenix AI Studio.

The tech industry’s evolution is relentless, with competition for talent being a central theme. Kumar acknowledges this, “The cloud industry has grown tremendously in the last few years, and every company wants the best people to work with them. It has resulted in an increase in demand for skilled cloud professionals, leading to fierce competition for talent.” Onix’s approach to this challenge involves creating an environment where top talent can thrive, drawing from seasoned professionals across the industry.

Looking ahead, Kumar outlines Onix’s strategic priorities, “Our strategic focus over the next 4 to 5 years is to propel enterprise value by enhancing revenue growth, improving margins, and deepening customer intimacy and experience through the powerful combination of cloud migration, data modernization, and AI.” This includes expanding their footprint in India with new tech hubs and focusing on large-scale data transformations for various industries to foster innovation and efficiency.

One of Onix’s standout innovations is Kingfisher, a synthetic data generation tool. Kumar describes its significance, “Synthetic data plays a crucial role in AI training because, simply put, AI models need a lot of diverse and high-quality data to perform well.” Kingfisher addresses the typical pitfalls of real-world data by creating datasets that mimic real data without the privacy issues or biases. “It’s our synthetic data generation tool that creates datasets designed to look and behave like real-world data but without those limitations,” he explains. This tool ensures AI models are trained comprehensively, preparing them for real-world applications with high accuracy and fairness.
