In a bid to support & strengthen NGOs and volunteer groups that are working round the clock to serve the people in their cities during this pandemic, eSamudaay, the world’s first local commerce (LCommerce) platform launched project ‘Helping Hands’. The company through its SaaS platform will empower these individuals and groups to digitize their distribution and communication channels. It will enable them to distribute home essentials and to put out important information, services and leads pertaining to patient care on its website and app. eSamudaay aims to invite individuals, NGOs, Volunteer groups and apartment associations across leading metros in India. eSamudaay will train and assist them with all the digital tools for free in order to run the platform for their city/neighbourhood.
The platform can be rapidly customised to identify and cater to a specific area in a city/town or be as micro as serving a particular housing society. eSamudaay will provide complete back-end support for NGOs and associations to seamlessly assimilate information and services. These organisations and groups distribute food, groceries, perishable items and medicines through this digital platform. They can also access critical information and resources for patient care and following COVID protocols.
Medarisha Lyngdoh, Co-Founder & COO, eSamudaay said “It is an extremely difficult time for all of us in the country. This is our small effort to support and strengthen the volunteer groups and NGOs who have been working tirelessly. We realised these individuals and organisations are in definite need of tech support that can accelerate their outreach and help their neighbourhood efficiently and in a timely manner. We strongly believe now is the time for businesses and communities to come together and act as one force to fight the pandemic.”
eSamudaay is the world’s first attempt at a decentralized network of autonomous organizations creating digital marketplaces aligned closely with existing physical marketplaces. The firm is on a mission to make local economies digital and self-reliant. The company aims to develop over 100 LCommerce networks in the next 1 year across India empowering 1000s of MSMEs and small businesses in nooks and corners of the nation.
