Microsoft’s All-In-One Office App Soon On iOS

Just a while back Microsoft announced the availability of an all in one Word, Excel, and Powerpoint application on Google Play Store. This comes as a relief to those that rely on Microsoft’s applications for work and hence, the app is called Office. The functionalities were available as different applications on the PlayStore and had to be downloaded individually for use.

While Microsoft’s announcement only spoke about the app featuring on Play Store, just two days later they announced its entry into App Store but its yet to be available.

The app was originally introduced by Microsoft in November and is expected to have a lot of features that include PDF tools, image scanning, file transfer, etc. They plan to introduce more features by next year which would include word dictation, voice commands, PowerPoint creating presentations from simple sentences, etc.

Microsoft’s blog said, “Altogether, the Office app is a powerful tool that is intuitive and familiar yet still uniquely different.” They further added, “We’ve been thrilled and humbled to see the response to the public preview of the Office app since introducing it at the Microsoft Ignite conference last November. After the announcement, tens of thousands of people immediately rushed to get the Android and iOS apps, causing us to hit the 10,000-user limit in Apple’s TestFlight program in just a few hours.

They also said that the feedback for the Office app through customer conversations, social media, and the press was quite encouraging which pushed them to get the app ready for release sooner.
