Motorola India GM Amit Boni said the company will soon launch its first exclusive experience zone in Bangalore, but “without a retail element”. The company is also experimenting with mobile Moto care vehicles which will reduce the time taken to complete a service request, he added.
Michael Adani of Flipkart said while the e-tailer started by delivering Moto phones in casino online 200 cities, they were now reaching over 1100 locations and over 1250 cities with partnerships. Flipkart now has over 30 million registered users with 10 million unique visitors every day translating to 8 million shipments a month.
“Since the launch, we have seen a paradigm change in the Indian market. Phones used to come to India late and the Indian customer was expected to pay more for it.
We have changed that, now the smartphones come in at the same time and often cost lesser than the rest of the world,” added Adani.
