Nestle’s Maggi noodles from Nov 12, ties up with Snapdeal

After almost five months being off the shelves, Nestle India’s iconic Maggi Noodles will be available from November 12. The company has also tied up with online retailer Snapdeal.com to take bookings for the Maggi packets also.

As per plans, Nestle India, has already started rolling out the re-launch of Maggi Noodles, the company said in a regulatory filing. Separately, it has also launched Maggi Noodles through Snapdeal.com, for which registrations began at 4.30 pm on Monday. “Sale to begin on 12 November,” a spokeswoman for Snapdeal said in a text message.

Nestle India also said that it is in touch with its channel partners and distributors to start reselling the product across the country. “Most states do not have a ban on the sale of Maggi Noodles. For States, where specific directions are required, we are engaging with them,” the company said.

The ban on manufacture and sales of Maggi Noodles had hurt the company’s earnings, as domestic sales fell 33.8% and its exports declined by 6.4% from a year earlier. During the July-September quarter, Nestle India said its net profits declined by 60.1% to R124.2 crore, while its sales also fell 32.1% to R1,736.2 crore from a year earlier.
