Netmagic Solutions announced the launch of its enterprise cloud object storage solution, SimpliDrive, for businesses in India and globally. According to the company, SimpliDrive is a highly secure Object Storage platform for unstructured data.
“SimpliDrive gives enterprises a fast and efficient way for data backup and retrieval”, said Nitin Mishra, Senior Vice President – Product Management, Netmagic. “The search functionality allows you to find the exact file you need from thousands you may have stored in your digital container on SimpliDrive and retrieve it effortlessly and quickly. You can access your SimpliDrive containers either directly via your browser or via an application using SimpliDrive APIs” he added.
SimpliDrive’s strong 3-layer approach to security that comprises Role-based Access Control (RBAC), Container Level Access Control Lists (ACL) and Time bound URL expiry ensures maximum data security. In addition, the service also promises a data durability of 99.9999%.
SimpliDrive according to the company, is highly scalable at a moment’s notice, so customers would need not worry about capacity planning.
Customers can sign-up for a SimpliCloud – Netmagic’s Infrastructure-as-a-service (IaaS) offering – account, contract their SimpliDrive cloud storage space and start adding accounts to it. These accounts could be different departments within an organization or various projects. Customers can also create “Containers” within these accounts and choose to give public or private access to each container. While private containers can be mapped to a single user, a public container can be allocated to a group of users.
For resellers and businesses that wish to personalize the solution with their own branding, SimpliDrive also comes with a white-label option.
