In an era where technology plays an increasingly integral role in our daily lives, Protectt.ai has emerged as a leading innovator in the realm of mobile application security and fraud control. Says Manish Mimani, CEO, Protectt.ai, “Protectt.ai’s journey began with a deep understanding of the growing reliance on mobile applications, which were also creating new opportunities for cyber threats and fraud.” This awareness led to the development of a comprehensive vision that went beyond countering threats to eradicating them in real-time.
Protectt.ai’s commitment to innovation and collaboration has kept them ahead in the fight against mobile-based
Manish Mimani delves into the concept of “Runtime Application Self-Protection” (RASP) and its significance. Unlike traditional security measures, RASP operates from within the app itself, constantly monitoring its behavior and defending against threats in real-time. Says he, “Runtime Application Self-Protection (RASP) is a cutting-edge security technology designed to protect mobile applications while they are running. Unlike traditional security measures, which focus on external defenses, RASP with XDR (extended Detection & Response) operates from within the app itself, constantly monitoring its behavior and defending against threats in real-time.”
“RASP from Protectt.ai offers precise security measures tailored to the specific application, reducing false positives and minimizing disruptions to the user experience. It also complies with RBI Digital Payment Security Control (DPSC) Guidelines for mobile banking apps, encompassing advanced security measures,” Manish explains.
Protectt.ai’s integration of RASP with XDR represents a groundbreaking approach to mobile app security, enabling proactive, real-time, and adaptable protection from within the application itself, setting the company apart as an industry leader in mobile app security.
Funding and Future Plans
While currently bootstrapped, Protectt.ai is in advanced talks to secure Series A funding of $10-12 million, with an initial $5 million fund-raise in the pipeline. This funding will support the company’s global expansion, product research & development, and the introduction of open-source solutions.
In terms of future plans, Protectt.ai aims to expand its outreach in the Middle East, South-East Asia, and the USA over the next two quarters. The company is diversifying its product portfolio with a focus on mobile app security and is creating an open-source developer community for rooted device protection, Mobile app Code Obfuscation, and Mobile Antivirus Security for smartphones.
Manish states, “Our vision for the company in India over the next two years is centered around providing security to a substantial user base while fostering a sense of community and accessibility within the mobile app development ecosystem.”
