Rajasthan Government partners with ConveGenius to strengthen digital learning initiatives in all schools

As schools continue to remain shut for safety reasons, technology becomes the backbone education is standing on these days.

Rajasthan Government has signed an MOU with ConveGenius, India’s edtech social enterprise, to make digital learning accessible to all students enrolled in government and low-fee private schools in the state. This partnership will also strengthen the Department of Education’s  ‘Aao Ghar Mein Seekhein 2.0’ program to be launched on June 21, 2021.

The digital learning model is implemented through formative assessments, individual feedback, and content recommendations for personalised learning of students, following the syllabus taught in schools. ConveGenius’ edtech platform stores the learning data of each student which is extracted through weekly assessments taken by the students. These assessments identify student’s performance and their weak points to provide targeted content and recorded e-kaksha classes that reduce their doubts and support remedial learning. The AI-based edtech platform uses interactive, child-friendly and adaptive learning methods that can be accessed through a WhatsApp chatbot, tablets, or computer labs in schools.

Commenting on the latest development, Aparna Arora, Principal Secretary, Department of Education said, “As our response to Covid-19, we fully support and applaud the efforts by Rajasthan Government and ConveGenius in reaching out to millions of children via EdTech who otherwise could have dropped out of the education system.”

Saurabh Swami, Director, School Education, also commented on the partnership saying, “In the previous year, more than 22 lakh students of Rajasthan benefitted from this model. This year a target has been set to provide this facility to 70 lakh students. The large-scale assessment data is very helpful in improving teaching methods, and identifying scope of improvement in students. The performance of students on the basis of their learning objectives will be leveraged to effectively plan bottom-up educational reforms across the state.”

“ConveGenius aims to make affordable and quality education accessible to the bottom 100 million students in India. Our previous partnership with the government was immensely successful, and we have high hopes for this one as well. This partnership is a crucial move towards ConveGenius’s campaign #EdTechForNayaBharat,” added Shashank Pandey, Co-Founder and President, ConveGenius.
