Analytics data platform and services provider Teradata said that it has acquired Think Big Analytics firm, which is into consulting and solutions focused exclusively on Hadoop and big data solutions.

Think Big has demonstrated expertise in implementing open source big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL databases including HBase, Cassandra and MongoDB, and Storm for real-time event processing.The consulting teams have deep-domain knowledge with a variety of Hadoop distributions such as Hortonworks, Cloudera, and MapR.
In addition, Think Big provides a set of pre-built application components for Customer and Clickstream Analytics, Distributed Device Data Management and Analytics, and Risk and Trading Analytics.
The Think Big consulting teams can manage the entire Hadoop and big data deployment process, which includes conducting assessments, building a strategic roadmap, designing an effective architecture, and implementing big data solutions.
The Think Big Solution Centre’s on-shore deployment model complements the existing Teradata big data consulting business. In addition, the Think Big Academy will provide hands-on expert training courses for customers.
