US Fintech with Two Indian Founders Hits $10B on Platform

According to recent press reports, Pepper, a New York-based FinTech focused on Asset and Investment Management, has hit $10 billion on platform. Two of the three founders hail from India- Pulak Sinha and Jaskaran Singh. The third founder, Ann Eberle Thomas, is a veteran of Citi and other large financial institutions.

CEO Pulak Sinha, an IIT graduate, has spent over 20 years in capital markets while CTO Singh hails from Baylor University and has 20 years of experience in Enterprise Architecture.

Pepper is a leader in “AssetTech, “an $84 billion industry focused on providing technology and data optimization solutions to the $120 trillion Asset and Investment Management industries. As asset classes grow in number and complexity and as investment choices have grown exponentially, the industry has needed an end-to-end platform that manages everyone from CRM and deal-sourcing to analytics and ROI calculation.

Pepper’s rise to $10 billion on platform has come about in just two years of commercial activity. Sinha, Singh, and Eberle significantly de-risked the company by building a stable, cloud-native platform on their own dime as they tested scenarios and worked with early potential customers to develop the platform.

“For us, this is a moment of humility. We are of course celebrating but for the most part, we feel ecstatic that our customers have offered the best testimony of all for us- they’ve grown with us and continue to offer us support,” said Sinha.

Senior Advisor Romi Mahajan added, “I’ve worked with over 40 early-stage companies and Pepper is in the top echelon. Rarely have I seen the concurrence of such a large market, a superb platform, and a world-class team capable of execution.”

As the Alternatives and Secondary spaces within Asset Management grow, Pepper continues to turn heads. The management of private and illiquid assets is a booming market and Pepper is tailor-made to the data challenges and opportunities in the industry.
