Comguard Networks, a part of Spectrum Group of Companies, Dubai, and a value added distributor of global networking and security products across Middle East, Africa and India, has been appointed as the national distributor by WinMagic Inc., a Canada-based data security firm, for the Indian market.
WinMagic provides data encryption solutions and develops full-disk encryption software. Its SecureDoc data encryption and security solutions protect sensitive data stored on desktops, servers as well as portable media such as laptops and removable media including USB thumb drives and CD/DVDs.
“WinMagic recognizes India as an important, growing market and we are pleased to be working with Comguard Networks to help develop and grow our business,” said Iain Airey, Director, EMEA Sales at WinMagic Inc. “Comguard’s extensive channel relationships and growing customer base, particularly in the enterprise market represent an excellent opportunity for WinMagic’s enterprise class data security solutions.”
Ajay Singh Chauhan, CEO, Spectrum Group, said, “WinMagic is a global leader in data encryption solutions and we are looking forward to help them in expanding their business in India through our dedicated and sustained efforts.”
As part of the partnership, Comguard Networks and WinMagic will organize an end-user meet on data encryption in Mumbai on September 14, 2012 at Hotel Hilton. The purpose of the meet is to understand the true cost of data encryption, and is targeted at IT and Security managers, CISOs and organizations of all sizes that are looking to evaluate data encryption solutions. With the use of case studies and market statistics the participants will delve into the cost of data encryption versus the cost of a data breach during the meet.
