Symphony Teleca Corporation (STC), a global technology and development services company, today announced that Wolfson Microelectronics has selected STC as a software professional services partner.
Under the pact, STC is providing turnkey services for integration, porting and optimization of software features and audio solutions featured in Wolfson’s audio products, such as the WM8280 Audio Hub, for the consumer electronics and mobile device markets.
STC is the latest company to join the rapidly-growing Wolfson Partner Programme and both companies will present and showcase next-generation, advanced audio technology and solutions at the 2014 International CES in Las Vegas, January 7-10, 2014.
The partnership between Wolfson and STC enables software from Wolfson, Wolfson’s customers or other third-parties to be successfully ported onto Wolfson’s hardware platforms – such as the WM8280 Audio Hub solution with integrated audio digital signal processor (DSP) designed for smartphones, tablets and other portable audio devices – and helps to reduce the time-to-market. Wolfson’s audio solutions are platform agnostic, so can be used by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) across all application processor platforms.
Eddie Sinnott, Vice President – Portfolio, Strategy and Marketing, Wolfson Microelectronics, said: “In today’s competitive market, our customers are seeking ways to get their products to market as quickly as possible. They also want to deliver the benefits that running on the Wolfson platform can offer in order to differentiate.”
“To help, Wolfson has been looking for software professional services partners with a strong international presence, and excellent software engineering capabilities. We are delighted to find this in Symphony Teleca and this partnership will help enable our customers to deliver the best possible audio experience to the consumer in their electronic products, in the shortest possible time,” added Sinnott.
“This is an outstanding opportunity for Symphony Teleca to work with a global leader in audio solutions for the rapidly expanding consumer electronics market,” said Andrew Till, Senior Vice President, Symphony Teleca. “Delivering next-generation, high-quality consumer audio experiences will help to further drive growth in the market. We are excited to play a role in shaping the future of the consumer market and to partner with an innovator such as Wolfson.”
