Zebronics enters into tablets segment

Top Notch Infotronix under the brand Zebronics has entered into the fast-growing tablets segment with the introduction of its Zebpad series of tablets.

The first of the company’s tablets to become available, the Zebpad 7c and the Zebpad 9c, feature 7-inch model comes with 800×480 pixels resolution supporting a 5-point, capacitative touch-screen. Powered by a 1GHz Cortex A8 processor and a Mali-400MP 3D GPU for smooth video rendering and running on the Android 4.0.4 ICS operating system, jelly bean update coming soon.

Recent reports from IDC indicate that PC shipments are declining and this appears to be directly related to the popularity of tablet computers, and a change in corporate purchasing to favour these devices. Said Pradeep Doshi, Director of Top Notch Infotronix, “We aim to capitalize on this trend with an array of tablet offerings that combine quality hardware and production values with great content and seamless usability for an engaging user experience – all the while retaining focus on our motto ‘exceptional value at a budget price’.”

Zebronics will shortly be adding to the Zebpad line of tablets with models that incorporate voice-calling through an in-built sim-card slot, powered by dual-core and quad-core processors and including other lifestyle features.

“It is the perfect time for Zebronics to deliver a new generation of tablets that should go beyond expectations, high on performance as well as looks, giving users a rich personalized experience,” added Pradeep Doshi. “The new launch in this category reflects Zebronics long expertise in merging intuitive, easy-to-use visual and mobility-focused hardware with exceptionally smart technologies and will deliver on the promise of the category at an unmatchable price.”
