[1] One of the key things is we need to understand the difference between complex problems and complicated problems. Technology is complex and that can be addressed. But complicated problems require reducing human errors by ensuring better skill training, capable leadership, and more.
[2] Embrace failure because it teaches you most precious life lessons. We should look forward to having leaders that have faced problematic incidents in the past.
[3] There should be a trust among the workforce and on the workforce. Leaders need to manage less, guide and groom more.
[4] We have a rotation policy. In this, we deploy our IT managers/leaders in business units for a year or so to ensure they get hands on experience on how the business works. This help them develop the correct mindset and approach.
[5] When you are choosing tech, there is a glamour factor attached to the cutting-edge technologies. However, we need to be careful to ensure that technologies are adopted only on the basis of requirements and not just to be in the race to have the latest technologies.
