Dr. Biswadip (Bobby) Mitra, President and Managing Director, Texas Instruments (TI) India, has been appointed Worldwide Director for TI’s Industrial Systems and will relocate to the United States. Dr. Mitra has also been named Chairman of TI India.
In his new role, Dr. Mitra is responsible for managing engineering and marketing and applications for TI’s industrial systems with responsibility for creating and marketing system solutions designed to grow TI’s position in the diverse industrial market.
Santhosh Kumar has been appointed the new Managing Director for TI’s operations in India. He will relocate back to India from the US. Santhosh Kumar brings a blend of experience in business, engineering and customer relationships to his new role as Managing Director.
Prior to this announcement, Santhosh Kumar was responsible for leading TI’s C6000 video and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) product teams. In this role, Santhosh Kumar worked with various global customers and engineering teams to grow TI’s ADAS business. He has also held several R&D leadership roles in TI India. These changes are effective immediately.

The TI India team will also benefit from Dr. Mitra’s guidance and leadership as he assumes the additional role of Chairman, TI India,” added Delagi.
