Migration time is the time it takes for a request to migrate from one machine to another. The time spent migrating should be reduced for an improvement in load balancer efficiency. 10. Reliability

Reliability is one of the other necessary performance characteristics of the load balancer. This means its uptime and overtime performances have to be consistent. Response time is the total time taken by algorithms to respond to a request. Waiting time, transmission time, and service time make up the total time taken, which is considered response time.
