Adobe Appoints Prativa Mohapatra as VP & MD of India Business
As VP and MD at Adobe India, Prativa will oversee Adobe’s India business and growth opportunity across its three business units --- viz. Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. Prativa will also partner with Adobe’s engineering leaders to drive synergies between Adobe’s product innovation and customer experience
Adobe announced the appointment of industry veteran and sales leader Prativa Mohapatra as Vice President and Managing Director for Adobe India. Prativa is the company’s first woman leader to drive Adobe India’s digital experiences business vision and growth opportunity across Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud.
This announcement comes at a time when Adobe’s strong track record and financial performance have been leading the way on the role digital technology in transforming lives worldwide. With Adobe Inc’s stock price at 666.59 USD, Adobe achieved quarterly revenue of $3.84 billion in its second quarter (June, July, and August) of fiscal year 2021, which represents 23 percent year-over-year growth despite a volatile market environment. The Asia Pacific region has been a significant contributor to the company’s growth, within which, India continues to be a strategic market both from an innovation and business growth standpoint. With over 6,000 employees based across its Bangalore and Noida campuses, India is the biggest hub of Adobe’s operations outside of North America.
As VP and MD at Adobe India, Prativa will oversee Adobe’s India business and growth opportunity across its three business units — viz. Adobe Experience Cloud, Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Document Cloud. Prativa will also partner with Adobe’s engineering leaders to drive synergies between Adobe’s product innovation and customer experience. Adobe India’s sales leaders will now report to Prativa, including Nitin Singhal (Senior Director & MD – DX Business, Adobe India), Girish Balachandran (Director – Digital Media Business, Adobe India), and Vyshak Venugopal (Head – Solution Consulting, Adobe India).
Through the years, Adobe has been recognised for leading the way on driving a diverse, inclusive and equal opportunity work culture across the organization. In line with this, several senior level positions at Adobe are today held by women – globally and in India. As Prativa joins Adobe to become the company’s first female business leader / Managing Director in India, other countries in the APAC region where Adobe has female Managing Directors include Korea and Australia.
Prativa’s appointment further strengthens Adobe’s leadership bench and commitment to India. Recently last month, Adobe had announced Abhigyan Modi’s elevation as Senior Vice President and global engineering head for Adobe Document Cloud, as well as Country Manager of Adobe’s India site.
