Gurgaon users will be able to enjoy a free daily quota limit of 30 minutes per day per device on Airtel hotspots
Gurgaon has taken the next step to go completely digital, with the launch of Airtel’s public Wi-Fi hotspots in the Millinium City. The initiative has been promoted by the Munipical Corporation of Gurgaon and was launched by the Chief Minister of Gurgaon, Manohar Lal Khattar.
Anyone who is visiting Sarhaul Village, MG Road, Sardar Bazaar and Sector 29 can enjoy free Wi-Fi on their devices starting today. A user will have to enable Wi-Fi on their device and select the ‘MSG powered by Airtel’ in the list of networks available.
Users will be able to enjoy a free daily quota limit of 30 minutes per day per device. One can continue to use the Wi-Fi services post 30 minutes also, however they will be charged a nominal amount. While Airtel users will be charged on their data plan/packs, non-Airtel users will be able to buy online vouchers with affordable deals. Airtel customers can connect to the Wi-Fi using the Airtel Hangout app also.
Dhruv Bhagat, CEO – Delhi/NCR, Bharti Airtel was also present at the event and said, “We are very happy to partner with the Gurgaon administration and enable citizens in the Millennium City to experience world-class Internet services on the go.” Airtel had won the mandate for this Wi-Fi launch from MSG last year to provide the free Internet experience.
