Gupshup today announced a collaboration with Cisco to connect bot development capabilities with Cisco Spark, Cisco’s fully integrated cloud-based collaboration service. Gupshup’s bot development platform enables developers to quickly build and incorporate advanced chat bot functionality into new and innovative service offerings for Cisco customers.
“Transforming the collaboration experience is about bringing people together, giving them quick access to critical information and the ability to share and communicate in real-time. Providing our customers and developers access to Gupshup’s intuitive bot platform will create customizable experiences that enhance Cisco Spark’s capabilities,” said Jason Goecke, General Manager of Cisco’s Tropo Business Unit.
Cisco Spark delivers Cisco customers a highly secure, connected collaboration experience via the cloud, combining the three types of communication tools people use most at work— messaging, meeting, and calling – into a single platform. Using Gupshup’s bot builder platform, developers will be able to create advanced, omni-channel bots for a responsive and intuitive experience within the Spark ecosystem.
According to industry research, the enterprise collaboration market is projected to grow from $47.30 billion in 2014 to $70.61 billion in 2019. Recent announcements by Microsoft, Google and other notable enterprise IT vendors have further fueled demand for the tools to integrate chat bots into enterprise collaboration platforms like Spark. Gupshup has stood at the forefront of this movement, developing advanced tools that simplify and accelerate the bot development process.
“Chatbots are quickly transforming the way we use computers, providing a simpler, easier and conversational interface to advanced services,” said Beerud Sheth, CEO of Gupshup. “Working with Cisco has made it possible for us to expose the enterprise to bots, which will soon transform virtually every business workflow.“
