DIGISOL launches intelligent network manageable switch DG-FS1526HP
Networking products firm DIGISOL has introduced new intelligent network manageable switch called DG-FS1526HP with 2 Gigabit combo ports at the price tag of Rs. 29,240 with 3 years warranty.
The DG-FS1526HP is a intelligent network manageable switch, designed for network environments that require high performance, high port density and easy for installation.
According to DIGISOL, the DG-FS1526HP provides 24 10/100Mbps fast ethernet PoE+ ports and 2 combo GE ports (RJ-45/SFP). It supports VLAN, SNMPv1, port mirroring and port trunking.
It is a good entry level managed switch with 8.8 Gbps switching capacity, claims DIGISOL. Wire-speed switching performance helps to take full advantage of existing high-performance on PCs and laptops by significantly improving the responsiveness of applications and file transfer times.
The device also has two combo Gigabit (RJ45/SFP) ports for uplink flexibility, allowing copper or fiber uplinks port for high speed uplinks to servers or backbones.
In networking, IEEE 802.1w rapid spanning tree protocol provides a loop free network and redundant links to the core network with rapid convergence for ensuring faster recovery from failed links, leading to enhance network stability and reliability. Whereas the IEEE802.3ad link aggregation control protocol (LACP) increases bandwidth by automatically aggregating several physical links together as a logical trunk and providing load balancing and fault tolerance for uplink connections.
Traffic is prioritized according to 802.1p giving optimal performance to real time applications such as voice and video. Asymmetric bidirectional rate limiting per port preserves network bandwidth and allowing maximum control of network resources.
Port Security ensures access to switch ports based on MAC address. Thus limiting the total number of devices from using a switch port and protects against MAC flooding attacks sser friendly web interface facilitates ease of management.
