The Arunachal Pradesh government is all geared up to have its first Software Technology Park of India (STPI) in Itanagar soon. “Through STPI, we hope to provide skill training to the youth, while empowering them digitally and economically,” said Chief Minister Kalikho Pul in a meeting recently.
He said the project would generate employment opportunities for educated youths. STPI is under the administrative control of union Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and set up with a mandate to promote software exports from the country. Four software technology parks are already operational in the NE regions at Guwahati, Imphal, Gangtok and Aizawl, the release added.
