Mindtree announced a strategic partnership with Dubai-based flydubai to shape the full digital experience of the connected traveller. Mindtree will focus on transforming flydubai’s information technology to support passenger sales and service systems, including services such as electronic ticketing and real-time baggage tracking. The agreement will also extend to other strategic business areas such as revenue management, target monitoring, ancillary revenue and operational optimisation.
flydubai has a fleet of 49 new Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 aircrafts operating to more than 90 destinations across Africa, Caucasus, Central Asia, Europe, the GCC, Middle East and the Subcontinent. Commenting on the announcement, Ramesh Venkat, Chief Information Officer of flydubai, said, “We welcome this agreement with Mindtree who bring their creativity, IT architectural design capabilities and experience of working within the aviation industry.”

Dubai-based flydubai strives to remove barriers to travel and enhance connectivity between different cultures across its ever-expanding network. Since launching its operations in 2009, flydubai has created a network of more than 90 destinations, with 19 new routes announced in 2015. It opened up 67 new routes that did not previously have direct air links to Dubai or were not served by a UAE national carrier from Dubai.
