FreeCharge partners ePaisa: Strengthens payments at Offline merchant stores

FreeCharge has announced its partnership with ePaisa to enable customers with easy payment options through the FreeCharge wallet. It gives them the access to a varied set of offline merchants across retail, food & beverages, wellness, travel and entertainment. FreeCharge aims to be the payment OS of the country. Its goal is to create an ecosystem for digital payments. To create this ecosystem FreeCharge is partnering with a number of players to enable many use cases both offline and online.

Customers paying through the FreeCharge wallet will also be able to avail exciting offers including cash-backs and additional discounts on spends at the registered merchants. In order to boost the digital payments adoption, FreeCharge will also run incentives with individual merchants that come on board with ePaisa.

Over 99% of the transactions on FreeCharge are completed in less than 10 seconds. Our patented technology ‘On-The-Go-Pin’ allows the customers to complete transactions in the most secure yet swift manner.

Commenting on the partnership,Govind Rajan, Chief Operating Officer, FreeCharge said, “We aim to able digital payments everywhere, offline and online. He further added that, today, customers have paucity of time. We are dealing with millennials who are always on the go and need quick turnaround. They are reluctant to use cards for small ticket transactions. FreeCharge and ePaisa partnership will eliminate the hassle of carrying a card or cash. Smartphone is the only need for the customers as it will become a one stop solution to all their purchase requirements.
