India, first country for Canon’s ink refillable printer range
Canon is a new entrant into the category and bullish about capturing approximately 30% of the CISS market by the end of Dec 2016.
Canon India has entered into refillable ink tank printer domain globally with the launch of PIXMA G series printers. For the first time, India played host to global launch of four new models; G1000, G2000, G2002, G3000 of CISS printers.
With this, the company aims to capture 30% market share in the CISS segment by the end of 2016. The PIXMA G3000 also features wireless and cloud printing.
“We are honored to host the global launch of the G series of PIXMA printers here in India. It is a moment of pride and joy for us. At present in India, the CISS category contributes 28% of inkjet printer sales. Canon is a new entrant into the category but we are excited and bullish about capturing approximately 30% of the CISS market by the end of Dec 2016. With this launch we aim to strengthen our footholds online casino amongst photo centres, copy centres and SOHO,” said Kazutada Kobayashi, President and CEO, Canon India.
Canon also claims that the print cost will be as low as INR0.08 per print for mono prints and INR0.21 per print for color prints.

The PIXMA G series printers come with many innovations that make photo and document printing easy and convenient.
