Iris Computers Ltd, the largest distributor of Lenovo’s commercial computers, has bagged a Rs.25 crore business order to supply 15,900 laptops to the Goa government.
The order covers higher secondary school students under the CyberAge Scheme introduced in Goa in 2002 by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar.
Commenting on the development, Rahul Agarwal, Executive Director, Commercial Business, Lenovo India, said, “We see strong growth in education, and expect it to grow in size and scale over the next few quarters. With many state governments adopting the student PC distribution scheme, and with Lenovo’s inherent stronghold in the segment we believe that we have a winning combination with Iris.”
