Online marketplace Snapdeal has sold a penthouse in Bengaluru for a sum of Rs 6 crore in a deal considered to be one of the most expensive online apartment buys in India. Mantri Developers, which lists its realty projects on Snapdeal, sold the luxury penthouse to a customer named Poornima in Bengaluru.
“As a constant endeavour to push the boundaries of innovation, we tried to evaluate an alliance with Snapdeal and explore online marketing and selling options through the portal. This is the highest online residential sale in present times,” said Sushil Mantri, Mantri Developers managing director. Snapdeal has been selling houses and luxury apartments since August 2014. It said the category has been growing over 400% since the launch. In June last year, it sold a Tata Housing apartment for Rs 1.1 crore in Mumbai.
