MasterCard, a global payment processing company, on Monday, signed an MoU with the Gujarat government for cooperation in adoption of electronic payment processes in government departments, businesses and transit and tourism industry.
The MoU aims to improve access to money and efficiency and speed in payments across various departments. This follows recent investments by MasterCard to establish e-Mobile Solutions Centre of Excellence in Vadodara for innovations in end-to-end device-based solutions for service providers.
The Vibrant Gujarat MoU was signed by president, Asia Pacific & Global Accounts for MasterCard, Vicky Bindra, and director, Union Finance Ministry, Anil Kumar Yadav, in the presence of Finance minister Arun Jaitley, CM Anandiben Patel, and state FM Saurabh Patel.
