Meizu Pro 6 Plus smartphone launched in China priced at around Rs 29,800; no timeline for India

Chinese smartphone maker, Meizu, has launched its latest flagship smartphone Meizu PRO 6 Plus in China. But company did not disclose anytime timeline for India’s launch. The PRO 6 Plus will be available in three colour variants – champagne gold, moonlight silver and deep ash. The 64GB variant has been priced at CNY 2999 (approx. Rs 29,800), while the 128GB version would cost CNY 3299 (approx. Rs 32,800). The newly launch PRO 6 Plus comes loaded with new operating system of Meizu Flyme 6 which company claims will ensures a seamless experience.
The PRO 6 Plus spots a clearer and sharper 5.7-inch display with 2560 x 1440 resolution, which Meizu claims to exceed the 2K standard and most of the mainstream desktop displays. The device is equipped with the 12-core Samsung Exynos 8890 processor built on 14nm FinFET process. Meizu says that PRO 6 Plus can handle various demanding activities such as video games and complex applications with ease. On camera front, the PRO 6 Plus features a 12 megapixel f/2.0 large aperture camera with customised Sony IMX 386 sensor and 6-element lens. According to Meizu, along with OIS system, the phone can capture pictures even under low light conditions. The latest generation ISP image processor also significantly improves color, sharpness, and noise reduction performance in photos and videos.
Utilising a combination of ES9018K2M and 32-bit audio DAC solution, and the RUBYCON capacitors, as well as the ADI ADA4807 chip; the PRO 6 Plus provides audio performance that will satisfy the most demanding audiophiles, assures Meizu. The device come with 4GB LPDDR (Low Power Double Data Rate) memory and 64GB / 128GB of UFS 2.0 internal storage.
The PRO 6 Plus incorporates the USB technology – Type-C and USB 3.1. Its reversible USB Type-C connector supports data transmission with a bandwidth up to 5 Gbps. The USB cable has been redesigned to support 24W fast charging and sustain high temperature and protection against short circuit.
The battery has a capacity of 3400mAh and has a lifespan of more than 900 charging cycles.
