NestAway Technologies, home rental startup has said that it has acquired apartment management platform ApnaComplex. This is majorly to expand its property management business. The financial details of the deal are not known yet.
Post the acquisition, NestAway is planning to expand its home services, like painting, pest control, and deep cleaning to residents with the ApnaComplex platform.
This is NestAway’s second acquisition since its inception in 2015. It had acquired its smaller rival Zenify, in 2017, for an undisclosed amount. ApnaComplex was founded in 2010, and offers apartment residents a platform that is designed primarily to help settle bills, raise complaints, book common facilities, and also organise public events.
Around 20,000 societies registered on ApnaComplex, spread over 80 cities, would get access to Nestaway’s services with this acquisition. ApnaComplex would continue operating independently after the acquisition and would retain its brand.
NestAway, co-founded by Sahu, Deepak Dhar, Jitendra Jagadev, and Smruti Parida in 2015, has raised around $110 million. This is from investors like Tiger Global, Epiq Capital, Goldman Sachs, and Chiratae Ventures.
Other competitors of NestAway are Zolo Stays, and Oyo.
