Nimbuzz, the cross-platform global communication app provider and telco Hutch have announced a partnership. Under the tie-up, Hutch subscribers across Sri Lanka will get free access to Nimbuzz. The offer would be available to all subscribers of the telecom operator for a period of six months starting from June, 2013. A 150 million user strong Nimbuzz has seen growth in the Asian region and is now looking to further strengthen its footprint in Sri Lanka with this partnership.
The agreement between the two global brands will allow Hutch subscribers in Sri Lanka to reach out to their personal and professional connections across the world for absolutely no cost. The offer is available to all subscribers irrespective of their data consumption. These partnerships are the first signs of stronger relationships developing between large internet players like Nimbuzz and leading MNO’s that will drive the future of the telecom industry in the years to come.
