Nokia has announced its Lumia portfolio is gaining acceptance and share in the Indian enterprise segment, as organizations switched to Nokia Lumia proposition from their traditional enterprise mobility provider.
In the last two years, more than 400 enterprise including GMR Group, Tech Mahindra, Ibis Hotels, Deloitte, KPIT, Qualcomm, Emerson, CGI Info Systems, Trilegal and Eureka Forbes, among others, had opted for the Windows Phone based Lumia portfolio.
In many instances, enterprises chose to change over from their existing smartphone platform. The Lumia range offered a lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for services like email and the Microsoft Office suite and offered tighter seamless integration and enterprise grade security on the mobile device.
Acceptance for the Lumia portfolio spans across the enterprise segment including IT, ITES, Telecom, Banking & Financial Services, Hospitality, Infrastructure and FMCG, among others. Organizations in these sectors are using their enterprise mobility services for solutions such as Field force management, Sales force Automation, Legal database management,besides traditional email, enterprise communication solutions, Microsoft Office suite and host of other smartphone applications. These organizations have witnessed reduction in recurring cost, increase in productivity by getting real time access to e-mails, collaboration via real-time data sharing.
