Enterprise solutions provider Pegasystems Inc said that it had set up its second facility in India to bulk up its operations in the country. The new facility has been built in Bangalore; this is Pegasystems’ second center in India after its first in Hyderabad.
“India produces good engineers and we want to acquire them. We will look at increasing our headcount,” commented Alan Trefler, CEO, Pegasystems.
The 55,000 square feet Bangalore facility currently has about 120 employees working from it. Pegasystems, which has a headcount of over 500 associates, has created an overall capacity for a thousand people. The company, which offers Business Process Management (BPM) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solutions to enterprises, currently has about 25% of its global workforce in India.
“The Indian operation is playing an important and strategic role in aiding our global growth. About one-third of the core work is done out of India,” said Trefler.
The Nasdaq listed company said it would scout for additional clients in India by leveraging its partners and also through direct selling.
For 2011, the company posted a revenue of $416 million and it is projecting 20% revenue growth in 2012.
